Someone is stealing my Adbuster magazines. Or they’re being confiscated at the border.

We’ve bought so many things for the apartment. Buy buy buy. And I want more. A new printer. Because writing is too slow and takes more effort. But it’s more concise and meaningful.

Bar stools. Window curtains. Amplifier. TV. Cable with HBO. Massage chair. Why all this extraneous unnecessary crud. Why do I want a new XBox or Gamecube or Playstation. They sure make whittling away hours upon hours look glamorous.

There were two new hires in my department at work. Jessica and Elliot. Elliot’s quiet and nerdy. Jessica’s a soulless barbie doll consumer droid.

And A****. A****. A****.

  1. I have to note that Amara is a beautiful name, and millions of times more pleasing to the ear (eye? inner voice?) than Merle. Or Nadege. What a harsh little name. I bet Amara even has a sweet sing-song last name.

  2. She sounds exotic, and full of ardour… you’re in trouble…
I think I may be one of the only people who has never owned any kind of play equipment… never a Ninitndo, or GameCube, not even Atari…. I may be a loser….. meh. Stuff and more stuff!!!… The All American tradition continues!! I can’t say that I don’t participate…..

  4. No LaniBanani…I too have never owned any gaming equipment.  My husband and I are still just getting used to owning separate cell phones.
So, AU, did you ever get your Adbusters?  I haven’t been getting my favorite magazine because my husband and I keep thinking the other one paid the bill.  GAH! (we finally got that straightened out) …and yes I saw the valentine you left on your computer (in case you were wondering why I haven’t responded), and all I can say is that I prefered the Star Wars themed Valentine’s series you found.  We had fun making up our own all day based on the “Yoda one for me”.  None of ours were quite as creative as that one, although we did have fun looking at all the other ones.  9-11 humor…not as much fun.
What is a soulless Barbie doll-type doing in a lab???  Is she in your sales department??
I have a friend name Amara, but she spells it Imara.  She is one of the nicest people I know AND she can hula (and is a really great singer.)
