Well said. I like stepping back and contemplating how trivial most of the day to day issues of University students are. Whining about classes, work or relationships etc, when something like a third of the population of the earth is classified as hungry or starving.

i never realized that the first time you commented on my xanga was when i had the poking penguin link up. i just happened to be so bored that i read through every past entry–and i poked that penguin–i poked him good.
ryc: my profile pic is NOT huge. maybe your face is too close to the–back away from the screen! i’ll keep that in mind next time i design a page–make it less obvious that a person looking at it isn’t working. lol

hey–you knew me in a former life as cinnamongirl78. i needed to change my xanga as i am wary of certain people seeing it…people at work, too (though i love my job, i have nothing nasty to say but i don’t want my move to colorado getting out before it should). if you’d add me to your sub list, i’d be most grateful! my new site is all screwed up right now b/c i moved all of my old material–didn’t want to lose it all. i’m working on that. hope all is well in Beantown (isn’t that a nickname for Boston? granted, a very stupid one).

No, darn it, I didn’t take any Steppenwolf, and that probably would have made all the difference. I wish, back at the time of your ‘mens pants’ comments, I’d come up with something clever like “I also like wearing women’s lingerie” and you would have fallen into the trap and said “I do too” and then I would have laughed at you… but it’s too late now. The moment is gone. I’m going to pout about it for a while.

That’s so cool! And you really do miss all the geo-caching references? It’s just been too hot this summer to go out and hike. More will come in the fall. I’ll be up in Ontario in less than two weeks and probably doing more then.
