My tooth still hurts. Not acute anymore but still enough to make life a little unpleasant. Now that an article (intestine/stomach damage from long term use) has confirmed my fears on my coping mechanism ibuprofen, I’m worried. I’ve decided to really cut back and tough it out more. I did a lot of pacing today.
The Canadian rapper and MuchMusic darling, K-Os was at the bar/nightclub “The Drink” tonight (worst bar name ever?). I would have liked to go however, I don’t have a posse of wiggas to surround myself with and make me comfortable enough to attend. Even though I probably listen to more rap music than is healthy, hip-hop culture doesn’t permeate into any other aspects of my life. I am more at home with a small venue indie rock artist. I feel alright at punk shows too. The drink probably isn’t the best venue for him anyway, I would rather see him in a place like the now defunct “The Shot” (not affiliated with The Drink). I hope the turnout was good though, he deserves it.

well to break it down the gluteus maximus (ass muscle) does take a part in walking and running but to clarify what i meant; i meant “lazy ass,” in the sense of an adjective describing myself as being lazy.

“the drink” is a pretty bad bar name. hip-hop shows can be fun but i’ve found certain elements at them that the small-venue-indie-rock-snob in me considers cheesy.

I think Lois will be alright as long as she doesn’t eat it. I’m impressed with what must be massive neck strength to hold that lead safe up like that. For the record, she thinks that her head has been transformed into a cat head. Really though it was just a mischeiveous hypnotist.

You probably would’ve blended in quite well with the crowd last night….it was pretty ‘white’, for a lack of a better word. A lot of underground hiphop heads are all up on the punk/skater tip anyways…besides, its not like you have omit some sort of specific image anyways…every hiphop show has their fair share of variety when it comes to heads. its all about the music anyways….which was quite good

I can totally relate. Since I’m half black, it’s expected that I’ll know every rap song, which I do. That’s besides the point though. When they hear I like The Wrens, Wilco and Metric, it gets a little more attention, sort of like ‘why are you listening to white music?’ White obscure music at that. When I wear my high tops I’ve heard I look like Fefe Dobson. This scares me a lot.
