Hello. Sadly it looks like I am not coming back to T Bay for Christmas this year. I have fallen behind on my major Thesis/project and have to use the facilities here to work on it over the break. It is too bad, I was looking forward to going back and even ****** will be there this year.

If you need some ideas for me. Books, DVD, Clothes are always good. (I have a DVD player but not a single DVD yet.)Ā  I am always listening to music and my headphones are getting pretty ragged. I like the big comfortable earmuff style best. A scanner would be good too, my old one broke a while ago. Maybe winter-like shoes. I am ideally a 9.5 but wear size 10s. I don’t know. I don’t expect much. I am managing all right. Try not to do any shopping on Friday, it is Buy Nothing Day.Ā  I would be thrilled with anything below if you want specifics.

Book ideas: Life of pi – Yann Martel , The Contortionist’s Handbook – Craig Clevenger, Syrup – Maxx Barry, House of Leaves – Mark Z. Danielewski, Ishmael: An Adventure of the Mind and Spirit – Daniel Quinn.

Movie Ideas: Ringu, Seven, Fight Club, Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind, High Fidelity, Rushmore, Pulp Fiction, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Hero, Spirited Away, Akira, Garden State, Princess Mononoke, or pretty much any old horror movie would be good. Love, ******

  1. i never did like that picture. i sold all my adbusters over the summer at a garage sale. kinda regretted it because you can be amazed even when you’re reading for the 20th time. but i thought “it is my mission to pass on this knowledge.” so they ended up in the hands of an art collecting / marketing analyst! he bought some hello kitty hangers too!

  2. Hey there. Just replying to your message. Ya, I’m not entirely certain why my xanga gets all stretched out like that either, though I think it has something to do with the links I post on occassion (must learn html!!). It’s okay now, though that may change depending upon what I write.
Where are ya going to school? I assume that since you won’t be going home to Thunder Bay you don’t go to Lakehead.

  3. That’s a good job on the letter to your parents. It gave them alot to choose from. After yesturday me and my parents will probably not buy anything for christmas… the house got struck by lightening (somehow the surge protector s didn’t protect) so i get to go and buy 2 tvs, 1 microwave, and a computer… welli was going to get the computer before the lightening… but we’ll be celebrating in style at least. And thank you for advertising NOT TO SHOP ON FRIDAY. i actually have to work (in retail) on friday so the less people there are the happier i’ll be.

hmmm…life of pi didn’t do it for me. i actually didn’t even finish it. but, i think i have problems with those philosophically-styled books. i just don’t think in that ‘way.’

  5. Daniel Quinn books are always good. Try some James Morrow. Particularly the death of god trilogy.  Tom Robbins is always good for a read too.
Strange coincidence that you’re from Thunder Bay and you randomly commented on my site. I have a cousin that went there for college.  I grew up just south of Toronto (in Acton which is near Guelph, if that helps any!).
